In a low-key stay busy fight, former heavyweight champion Shannon Briggs scored his 50th career knockout, taking down 300-pounder Richard Carmack in the first round on Saturday night at the Isle of Capri Casino, Lula, Mississippi. Briggs (57-6-1, 50 KOs) dropped Carmack (12-6, 10 KOs) three times, the third time for the count. Time was 2:59. It was Briggs’ sixth straight win since launching his comeback in April
