Heavyweight contender Samuel Peter sat down with Boxingtalk for a few minutes and talked about his upcoming fight against Julius Long(14-7-0), scheduled for April 28th, on ESPN. Samuel Peter ( 25-1-21K0) also makes it known that he should be next for IBF Heavyweight Champion Wladimir Klitschko. Boxingtalk welcomes Samuel Peter!
BT - Samuel I am interested in your thoughts on the Klitschko vs Byrd Heavyweight title fight.
SP - Yes, it was a good fight but I don't think Chris Byrd was ready to fight. I don't think he was ready , he just went there and he didn't look like he used to fight. It was a good fight for the new champion though.
BT - You went the distance with Wladimir, how do you think you would do in a second fight with him?
SP - Well I think I would do very good, I will be ready to fight for the IBF Heavyweight Championship. There's no doubt about it, I would be ready.
BT - What would you do differently in a second fight with him Sam?
SP - Well the difference will be clear.
BT - That's it? (laughs)
SP - (laughs) yep.
BT- Can you be more specific?
SP - Well the difference would be clear for everyone to see, that I would be a true champion.
BT - What do you want to say to Klitschko right now?
SP - Congratulations on becoming the Heavyweight Champion of The World. Do you want to do it again with me? That's the big question, if you want this to happen, that would be nice. Let's do it again.
BT - Did you see the Rahman vs Toney fight?
SP - I don't want to talk about that fight (laughs)
BT - (Laughs) was it that bad Sam?
SP - Well that's not Heavyweight championship boxing, I don't even know what to say.
BT - Talk about this fight coming up on ESPN on the 28th, against Julius Long.
SP - Yes it's on ESPN, and I will beat him however he wants to get beat.
BT - (laughs) - Anything you want to say in closing Peter?
SP - Well I want to thank Boxingtalk for always coming around, and talking to me. I want to thank all of my fans, and I want to tell them that Samuel Peter will be Heavyweight Champion of The World again very soon!
