Just days away from their respective SHOWTIME-televised fights on Saturday at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, Samuel Peter and Robert "The Ghost" Guerrero and took time out to speak with Fightnews. The fighters were at an open workout in downtown Los Angeles at the LA Boxing Academy. Guerrero is challenging Erik Aiken for his IBF featherweight world title while Peter battles James Toney in a WBC heavyweight title eliminator. Both fighters were in good spirits and very confident
Samuel are you worried that your emotions will get the best of you during this fight?
Not at all. This is an easy fight for me.

What about the fact that he might be trying to get into your head with all his comments?
He can’t get into my head, and even if he could he doesn’t speak my language (laughing)

Most boxing experts seem to think the only way you can win is by knocking Toney out. Can you win a decision against him?
He will not make the distance. I guarantee you that. I’m going to beat him so bad that when this is over he’ll be my second wife (Laughing).

What happens if you hit him and he’s still standing? What’s plan B?
If I hit him flush he won’t be still standing. Believe me!
