Russian middleweight Roman Karmazin commented on his victory over Dionisio Miranda in their recent IBF middleweight title eliminator. In that exiting bout, the Russian found himself on the canvas in the round 9, but managed to knock his opponent out in the next round.

“The bout was very spectacular, - told Karmazin to AllBoxing.ru. – "Boxing fans love such dramatic fights when through the pain and blood the fighters show their character. The spectators literally squealed with the excitement. Someone even walked to me and said: 'Well done, Roman! It was like the Rocky movie, only for real.' I know that when I get back to Russia I won't be ashamed of that fight. I proved that I have the right to fight for the title and now I will look forward for that."

Roman admitted that he hadn’t expected such boxing from Miranda, though he understood that the boxer with the alias Mister Nocaut would have strong punch.

"I knew that he is a puncher who knows how to knock his opponents out, - told Karmazin. – And when we stepped into the ring I understood that it was true. He really has very good and powerful punch. Besides he’s done a good job in trainings recently, he's become more versatile, maybe that’s why the fight was so tough. He really got me in the 9th round. It was very difficult for me to come back. He went into the round ten like he was going to finish everything quickly."

"But I took the decision to use direct frontal attacks. During the bout I constantly moved to the right and Miranda got me there. But when I decided to change the tactics he was lost. I began to hit him and he didn’t know how to answer. And then I felt the right moment and caught him. When he fell for the first time I didn’t really expect it and even thought that he slipped, because my punch wasn’t too strong. But when I saw him getting up swaying I understood that I dropped him right. That was my chance. I had to finish him off. And that, thanks God, I can do."
