Vadim Bukhkalov: «Statement of Mr.Krassyuk is directed to boxers misleading»

At the 22-th of March famous boxing web-site fightnews.com published the article «RingSide Show: Alexander Krassyuk» making by Ukrainian boxing journalist Alexey Potapov, which contains video interview with Alexander Krassyuk, ex-GEO «K2 East Promotions». Well-known Ukrainian promoter and owner of «K2 East Promotions» Vadim Bukhkalov comments for BOXNEWS.com.ua some questions and answers from this interview. Following you can see the text of this interview with Bukhkalov’s comments.

– Alexey Potapov: Good afternoon, dear fans. My name is Alexey Potapov, and I am glade to welcome you on a delivering of Ringside Show. Unfortunately today I conduct a program without my colleague Vyacheslav Ponochevniy. Nevertheless, today our guest is a general director of new formed company “K2 Promotions Ukraine” Alexander Krassyuk. Now the first of all, national Prof Boxing with interest and hard time follow the situation, which is arise in the company “K2 East Promotions“, which is actually has stopped existence. After two years of cooperation, Vitali Klitschko left it. When did he made this decision and what costs Vitali breach with Vadim?
– Alexander Krassyuk: This is a probably one of the pointed question in a Ukrainian professional boxing. Really “K2 East Promotions” has stopped its existence. And now instead if it, created “K2 Promotions Ukraine”. In a basis of breach of mutual relations, more precisely everything was based on business interest. Vitali, being a Vadim’s partner has made to him a business offer of retirement of shares of Vadim Bukhkalov. The negotiations was carried on and final decision of Vadim was refusal of retirement and to conduct activity independently.
– Vadim Bukhkalov: This statement was created to mislead the boxer of “K2 East Promotions”. I want to make accent that “K2 East Promotions” haven’t been liquidated. At this moment “K2 East Promotions” continue its promotion activities absolutely officially. After Vitali Klitschko left, I became a sole owner of this company and it’s GEO as well.

– Alexey Potapov: Actually, it appeared information that the main reason of breach was a financial difficulties of Vadim Bukhkalov.If its right, why he didn’t accept the proposition of Vitali about retirement?
– Alexander Krassyuk: It s difficult for me to answer for this question because by my opinion as businessman I would accept this proposition. Probably Vadim had some reason to get his decision. Why? I don’t have answer.
– Vadim Bukhkalov: Yes, I do have some financial difficulties. But could you tell me who is between Ukrainian businessmen haven’t them now? The important part of my activities was always investment and real estate. As you know, the world financial crisis damage a lot this sector, but I still keep good business relations with my creditors. What about «K2 East promotions», for today the main company’s activity is contracts with boxers. Many of them have shown themselves at international ring and some of them are inside the world top-10 rating. In front of them I do have some obligation as well which I am going to keep. The negotiations with Vitali Klitschko are still carried on, so I wouldn’t comment them. For the moment we are looking for some ways of mutually advantageous cooldown.

– Alexey Potapov: In a new created company “K2 Promotions Ukraine” you obtain position of general director. .How long did you think about this proposition of Vitali? What does it mean for you to be a head of this company ?
– Alexander Krassyuk: I have casually enough came in boxing in 2005, then it was a company ”National Box Promotion”. After some period I’ve got a custom and began to supervise our structure, we started to provide some tournaments, after it was a union with Vitali Klitschko; it was a great job, serious experience and separation in the end.
In this question I didn’t give my preference to anybody. As a hired manager I was interested in a development of this sphere generally and I’ve evaluated the perspectives from the side of “K2 Promotions Ukraine” more real in Ukrainian professional boxing then from other side. But, actually, I’ve never got a proposition to be a head of ”National Box Promotion”.

– Alexey Potapov: Nevertheless you started to work with Vadim Bukhkalov long time ago .Why did you get decision to work in this company?
– Alexander Krassyuk: It is not right to comment this question as a personal attitude, I’ve paid my attention at the company’s activity. I’ve spent five years for this sector and I’ve evaluated perspectives of K2 Ukraine more real then Bukhkalov’s company. There was nothing personal.
– Vadim Bukhkalov: Many readers don’t have any idea about interior situation in the company, so it will be not so easy to understand it. But beyond all doubt Mr. Krassyuk was interested in a breach between me and Vitali. As a talent careerist, he was trying to make it full.

– Alexey Potapov: Mr. Bukhkalov gave interview to journalists. Actually, he announced you have some obligations in front of some boxers, no names, to give back their contracts, do you?
– Alexander Krassyuk: It was three boxers, Konstya Rovensky, Viktor Plotnikov and Andrey Rudenko.Their manager is Sergey Yanchishin, In reality there were signed some transfer contract, legally enforced. It was in April or in March of last year and I didn’t join them to contracts with legally force. That s why when I transport all documents I didn’t think about those three contracts. Actually it‘s a mistake to call it a contract. I said: “Guys, we are going to organise a tournament in a Lvov, would you like to participate, and we have to registrate our business relations right way?” At that moment the guys weren’t ready to sign any contracts and we signed up a protocol without any legal effect, so my attitude was answerable. And it doesn’t exist, so I’m not able to pass it to Vadim, it’s without any bad idea.
– Vadim Bukhkalov: What does it mean “contracts were legally enforceable”? What to sign them for? It was organized costly rings for each of these boxers. As you know, we diversify taking into perspective. And Mr.Krassyuk supposes to provide legality of business ties between company and boxers as a general director. At this moment we book audit, so at the nearest time we can talk about his diligent discharge of duties.

– Alexey Potapov: Many times Mr.Bukhkalov said that all principal boxers of “K2 East Promotions“ are Baysangurov, Brazhnik, Nuzhnenko, Uzelkov. Is it true? Generally, what boxers are you going to work with? Are carried any negotiations on?
– Alexander Krassyuk: I wouldn’t open a secret before event of nearest week. We are going to organise a press- conferencing, where it will be named the boxers which have decided to work with us. Only one I can comment that we cannot make decision without guy’s agreement. That’s why the most right way to ask a boxer. Did he make his decision, his choice: to be on a level of “National Box Promotion“, national level or world level and to get development as a world wide star?
– Vadim Bukhkalov: Once again I want to pay attention on it: similar words of Mr.Krassyuk are directed to boxers misleading. I could give you example from football. Some of them play for Dynamo, and maybe some of them wish to play in Milan, Barcelona or Manchester United . But at present moment they cannot change a team. And if any club is interested in a player it makes a proposition about transfer to management of Dynamo. There is the same situation in box. That s why I don’t really understand what choice Mr. Krassyuk is talking about. If boxers have a contract with my promotion company(some of them even until 2012), it means they have made already their choice when they signed up this contract. In case “K2 Promotions Ukraine“ will try to transfer boxer against the low, I will maintain my rights in court. And believe me, nobody will win, neither boxers, nor Mr. Klitschko, nor Mr. Krassyuk. As for “national” and “world” levels what Alexander was talking about,.. I can remind that “National Box Promotion” before union with Mr. Klitschko , and ”K2 East Promotions” long time ago overgrew a national level. At this moment I concentrate myself on organisation of rings with foreign boxers and my aim is champion competitions in a most celebrity world arenas. To get international recognised celebrity its necessary to fight and win in USA. By the way Vitali Klitschko knows well about it. How many times did he boxed in Ukraine?... Klitschko brothers got world wide recognition by fighting in USA and Europe.

– Alexey Potapov: In which directions is company ”K2 Promotions Ukraine” going to have development? And what are your resources. It will be any difference between your job in ”K2 East Promotions” and the one in ”K2 Promotions Ukraine”?
– Alexander Krassyuk: In 2010 we are planning to organize five tournaments in Ukraine. Our permanent partners are the group of TV channels and world brand Nemiroff. And we are planning a few events abroad as well, like last year we provided a tournament in Chechen Republic. Now we have started dialogues with many countries and local organizers. Except this we will get some changes in tournament’s organisation as well. The first we will make accent on a fight’s quality. If last year the rings could seem simple to pass, probably, the reason was a qualification of boxers. But now the guys have got experience, they approach to world top-10 rating what give us a possibility to level up opposition and staginess of event. And our partners support us in this idea. And TV version of our tournament will be quite different from the one at last year.
– Vadim Bukhkalov: No comments

– Alexey Potapov: You’ve told about cooperation with your partners. Are you going to keep the last conditions, aren’t you?
– Alexander Krassyuk: It was no reason to change any conditions. The work done last year was good enough for both sides. That’s why negotiations were simple. We’ve held hands with each other and shaped plans.
– Vadim Bukhkalov: No comments

– Alexey Potapov: Maybe my question will be pretty delicate, but it looks like the company K2 Ukraine sidetracks boxers and partners from Bukhkalov. Because it’s not a secret that except “Inter” and brand Nemiroff in Ukraine, nobody commit in Boxing. Does this idea have a chance to be approved? Bukhkalov was talking about American promoters, but it’s clear that they won’t be interesting in a work of Ukrainian professional boxing. What are you thinking?
– Alexander Krassyuk: I’d like to start from second part of this question. I remember about desire of Vadim to be in cooperation with celebrity international promoter. By my opinion it has no foundation and certainly I can be wrong but I hardly think that somebody between foreign promoters will be agree to provide promoter actions on not so mature market. What about feeling, which you have, nobody sidetracks no one.
It’s just a guess-work. The guys from K2EP and boxers have right of choice. When the person has a few alternatives, everyone choose what’s more mature. And everyone has a right of choice. In our case it will not look like one take out from another. The guys will make their choice: who will stay with Vadim, who is going to work with us or leave boxing, Ukrainian ring at all.
– Vadim Bukhkalov: The first, I am really not sure that foreign promoters aren’t really interested in Ukrainian area. Professional box in Ukraine has high TV rating, by popularity this kind of sport bend only to football. I can give an example. The champion WBO in light middleweight is Ukrainian Sergiy Dzinziruk, which has a contract with American promoter Garry Show. Zaur Bayzangurov is inside top-10 of this weight category. And I believe that it’s possible to find partners interested in organization of this fight. In any case, the first aim for me now is organization of fights included in most prestigious foreign shows, and for 100% I m sure in success. During seven years of work “National Box Promotion” and “K2 East Promotions” our boxers got the name and high ranking, so for further advancement they will need only one , it’s victory. I will provide everything to push their careers abroad. About dialogue of Mr. Krassyuk with boxers I’ve gave you already an example from football. For today I have active contract with nine sportsmen. This is Baysangurov, Nuzhnenko, Uzelkov, Hurtsidze, Fedchenko, Bursak, Rusal, Brazhnik and Golovko.

– Alexey Potapov: And maybe the most important question in the end. When and where the first ambitious tournament is going to be?
– Alexander Krassyuk: The first tournament is going to be in Kiev this spring. All important information you can get this week.
