Jack Loew: If you can't make a fist, and you're not 100%, I'm not going to put him in there. He didn't heal as quick as the doctors thought it was going to be. The bottom line is, I'm not a doctor. I don't know the medical reason why it's not closing. When we get medically cleared, we can fight. That's all I can really say about it

WBO/IBF heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko confirmed that he will not step into the ring this year and that his bout with WBO mandatroy Eddie Chambers is moved to March, 2010. Some rumors say that the fight was moved not only because of Wladimir’s shoulder injury but because HBO has already exhausted their budget for this year and can’t buy broadcasting rights for this bout

WBA heavyweight champion Nikolai Valuev says the Klitschko brothers, Wladimir and Vitali, are not willing to take any risks in the ring. He says both brothers have avoided him and he doesn't see a fight taking place any time soon. Valuev faces David Haye on November 7 in Germany. Haye was scheduled to fight Vitali Klitschko on September 12 but withdrew before the contract was signed and made a backdoor deal for a shot at Valuev

GL: What's the latest and greatest with Dmitriy Salita? "First of all I want to say that I am the WBA #1 contender and I was supposed to be fighting Kotelnik. Now he's fighting Amir Khan, but I've been mandated to fight the winner. I'm here in the Poconos training for May 24 at the Buffalo Bill Casino in Primm, Nevada. Hopefully I fight on the Kotelnik card after that before the winner has no choice
